Perfect light and great family today. Even the 3 month old baby couldn't have been more cooperative, and with such a great big brother to help out, it was just a terrific shoot all around.

Met up with the M sisters this morning. It has been a year since I did their last portrait, and I remembered how easy they are to work with, and how beautifully they photograph. They were real troopers since it was still wet from the rain last night.

What a great afternoon for an outdoor shoot. It's unusual to have a weekday session, but the kids had off for election day, so we were able to squeeze it in. I was able to grab quite a few shots in great locations since the kids were so easy to work with. What an enjoyable way to spend a fall afternoon!

I met the W family this morning, and we were able to squeeze in a fall shoot before all the leaves are down. It was quite chilly, but the boys hung in there and did a great job, even tromping through a little creek for a couple of shots.

When life gives you lemons.... the saying goes. I had scheduled a shoot with the G family at one of my favorite spots, but got a call from the security office that I couldn't shoot that day because of a walk-a-thon on the grounds. When I called to let the family know, they suggested Tyler State Park, which was close to their house. Now, my family knows and loves this state park, and have spent a great deal of time hiking and walking the dog there, but for some reason I never thought to shoot there. Turns out there are so many great little nooks and crannies to shoot in, and the lighting on Sunday was that special, high cloudy but still sunny type of day. I will definitely be adding this to my list of favorite shooting locations. The kicker was that the same walk-a-thon was coming through the park about 10 feet from us the entire time we were shooting, with hundreds of people streaming by behind me. I can't believe the G family was able to keep their eyes on me with all the commotion.
