Hmmm, I guess we are at about 8 inches at 9 p.m. Wonder what tomorrow morning will bring? At least we have the snow blower gassed up and running, so we're set for now.

i hear we may be in for some serious snow this Saturday....

14 years ago today I was looking at a 6 pound, 10 ounce, crying, wrinkly baby girl. I remember feeling overwhelmed and nervous about being responsible for such a tiny human being. I read the "What to Expect" books from cover to cover, and never let her out of my sight. I cried when I decided to quit my job to stay home with her. But who could I trust to care for her like I would? What would I do or be now, though, without heading to the office every day.

Now, somehow, it's an incredible 14 years later. Absolutely unbelievable. She has turned into everything I would have hoped for. Kind, funny, compassionate, sweet, sassy, capable of doing a dead-on impression of me, and is just the kind of person you love to be around.

This is one job I've signed onto for life.

I know I wrote about this last year around this time, but I was reminded again how much I love this idea (especially for gifit giving!). It's so hard to know what to do with the annual school pics that come home, but this frame from Exposures is the solution. Every year when I update it, I love to sit and really absorb how much my kids have grown and changed over the past 12 months. I just did Rachel's, and I think in the past year she left her childhood behind, and is definitely a young lady now. No more baby fat, no more awkward age. Can we just stop time and stay here a little while?

We took Grammy (my mom) with us to visit Meme (my grandmother, who is 86) in Pittsburgh this past weekend. When we got up into the mountains around Somerset, we were not prepared for the snowstorm.
